Tread The Globe Lah

Natasha’s English school friend Chris Fisher and his wife Marianne are driving around their world in their Fiat Ducato van named Trudy.  Their YouTube handle is Tread The Globe.

In their YouTube bio, they say:

THIS IS NOT YOUR NORMAL VAN LIFE CHANNEL Because Life is TOO short..

We’re Marianne and Chris, a middle aged couple from the UK. An Ordinary couple on an Extraordinary Adventure.

Currently attempting to Drive around the World in our old Fiat Ducato Van – Trudy.

Everyone reaches a point in life when you realise you’re not going to live forever. After losing some friends & Marianne donating a kidney to save her friends life, that was the time for OUR realisation . Who’s to say we will make it to retirement?!

In May 2018 we quit the 9-5, sold our belongings, rented our house, and moved into Trudy our van and we’ve been living life to the fullest ever since.

In Jan 2020 we set set off on the ultimate van life adventure, to drive all the way around the world. We travel full time, not to escape life, but so life does not escape us! We hope our videos inspire you to step out of your comfort zone & live your best life.

They first started making YouTube videos for family and close friends. Their followers grew and grew and they now have produced 628 videos and have over 122,000 followers on YouTube alone.

Natasha and I made it into their first Malaysian video, here: We shipped our UK Van to MALAYSIA.

For those of you who have been to the Kuala Lumpur Polo Club, you may have seen Trudy parked outside Zack’s Tack.   Chris and Marianne have actually been out and about Malaysia – their videos run about a month behind their actual movements.

While their first video of Malaysia was aired last Sunday, they are actually about to start their final run up the west coast of Peninsula Malaysia, to Thailand.

They are really nice people that we always enjoy having in Malaysia.  It’s been fun to finally see Trudy ourselves.  Our daughter had a ride in Trudy the other day.   Chris and Marianne were headed to a meet-the-followers session at Central Market, and gave Asha a lift as she went to work at Nala Designs.  Asha was thrilled to be in the world famous Trudy.
