It’s great to be playing some faster polo, in the 6-goal KL Polo Classic, with La Sarita. I’ve had two games, after Julian Lancia started the first game for them, in 1/2 goal loss to Jogo Polo. We beat Windhorse Gold on Tuesday by an easy margin, and then yesterday lost by a couple to La Familia in a very competitive game. I’m really enjoying it, though I haven’t been at my healthiest. I’m getting better!
We still fought La Familia till the very end. La Familia ended with three pros on the field, while we had only Agustin Andrada as the only established pro in our team. I was playing on KL Academy of Polo ponies, against some of the best horses in the club. We were not disgraced at all!
It was good to have Jogo Polo back playing at the Kuala Lumpur Polo Club, though Windhorse Gold may not agree, having been hammered 13 – 4 1/2 in the opening game yesterday. Jogo Polo needed to create a good goal difference for themselves in case La Sarita managed to beat La Familia in the second game.
Alas, it was not to be for La Sarita. Congrats to La Familia, who meet Jogo Polo in the final on Saturday afternoon.
