My friend West Australian friend Neville Stewart sent me a link to The Polo Pod, a podcast on Spotify with Rupert Lewis and Jack Richardson. Both are English, so the news is mainly about the UK polo season, but they try to cover everything that is going on in the polo world.
I got to know the presenter and 7-goaler Jack Richardson when he played for England at the FIP Snow Polo World Cup. Jack also visited Malaysia in 2019.
I have been enjoying their episodes, especially the ones with Memo Gracida, Nico Pieres, Rob Jornavaz, Alan Kent and Anthony Fanshawe.
Jack retrains thoroughbreds for polo, so there is a great interest in player’s horses. They also ask about players’ pathways into polo, and to give us some insight to his favorite horses. A hot topic is cloning.
Thank you, Neville, for turning me on to this podcast.
