Queen’s Cup Pink Polo 2020

It’s Pink Polo time, at least in Thailand.

The Queen’s Cup Pink Polo has attracted four super ladies teams.  Play will be at the Thai Polo & Equestrian Club, in Pattaya.

A 14-goal ladies handicap tournament, this is one of the best standards of ladies polo you can find in the world.

Some of the very best lady players in the world are here:  Lia Salvo, Clara Cassino, Milagros Sanchez, Rebecca Walters, Milly Hine, Maitena Marre, Veronica Magnasco, Victoria Rueda, Beannie Bradley and Olivia Jauretche have come to play with our South East Asian sisterhood of Datin Nurul Noorajala-Moiz, Tengku Dr Uzira Uzir, Daryl Yeap, Anna Krag Sorensen, Sonia Cooling, and Marie Godiner.

Missing is Ms Caroline Link, who is unable to play this year, but who will be there to support it.

I understand that the Covid-19 Coronavirus knocked out a team from China, otherwise there would have been even more competition.

We hope to have Chinese patron Paris Lou’s 1003 Polo Team compete in Malaysia later this year.

PoloLine.TV will be streaming the games, including the final.

Play starts on Wednesday 19th February.

The draw will be held tonight, after which PBITG will bring you the finalised fixtures.

The tournament format is a quick one, with teams playing three matches each in a league format that could also take us to a what is a “virtual” final match on Saturday 22nd February.

Come dressed for a brilliant day of ladies polo, if you are in Pattaya on Saturday.

The Queen’s Cup Pink Polo is followed on Sunday 23rd February with the 3rd World Patron’s Polo Championship.

It’s all happening at Thai Polo this weekend.
