There is this thing going around Facebook, where someone nominates you for a 10-Day Equestrian Family Challenge. When you are nominated, every day you are select an image from a day in the life of horse ownership that has had an impact on me and post it without a single explanation, then nominate someone to take the challenge. That’s 10 days, 10 equestrian photos, 10 nominations and 0 explanations.
I knew I would get nominated one day, and had had a little think about what I might post. Finally I got finally nominated by Abdul Salim. I have posted on Facebook without explanations. On my blog, I thought I’d caption the photos so that you, the reader, could get some of the back stories.
I posted Days 1 to 5 here: https://www.pbitg.com/10-day-equestrian-challenge/
Here I add days 6 to 10.
Day 6:

Riding Une Des Pipet in the 2001 SEA Games in KL. I had ridden her in the ’98 Asian Games, finishing a rail away from a medal. In 2001 she came back to me after 2 1/2 years in the SPC Riding School. We won a CSI-W World Cup the week before the SEA Games. She is the only school horse I know ever to win a World Cup event.
Day 7:

Winning the 10 goal Thai Polo Open with Royal Selangor Polo Club in January 2008. No foreign talent, just four club boys. Never been done before, or since.
Day 8:
Day 9:

The FIP team of officials at the 2016 FIP Snow Polo World Cup. Tournament Director of the Snow Polo World Cup, with the world’s biggest prize-money in polo from 2012 to 2017 was a fantastic experience.
Day 10:

Where it all began for me. Santa, my first horse of my own. Santa had Stringhalt, a wall eye, and two blown tendons. Ugliest horse you ever saw, but we played two chukkas of A division polo every tournament, amateur flat-raced, evented, tent-pegged, did dressage and showjumped nationally. Santa sent me on my way.
